Welcome to The Good Grief Collective
About The Good Grief Collective

Grief is the normal natural reaction to loss of any kind.

Grief is tough, but talking about it shouldn’t be. The Good Grief Collective is all about creating a space where it’s okay to talk about the grief that comes from loss (of any kind) and selfcare—without the awkwardness or stigma. We’re an online community, but we also meet up locally because real connections matter. Our home base is in Salisbury, Maryland. Whether you need a place to vent, laugh, cry, or just be, we’re here for it. No judgment, no pressure—just a community that gets it.

Our Vision

At The Good Grief Collective, we’re all about making space for grief—real, honest, and judgment-free. Our vision is to create a welcoming and accessible community where people can navigate loss in their own way, surrounded by support and understanding.

Our Story

The Good Grief Collective was created to change the way we navigate loss—together. We believe in the power of community, resilience, and support, making space for healing, hope, and even joy along the way. Our hope is to collaborate with other support systems locally and online. You don’t have to do this alone! Learn More!

Community Support

Our support community comes together in grief, and hold space in the collective through:

-Daily connection

-Monthly self-care workshops

-A monthly book club

Good Grief Collective Intentions (1).png

“I took the six week Mindful Grieving Series taught by Courtney and it was probably the best grief work I've ever experienced. I had lost two people very close to me at two very different times in my life. One was in high school, the other one in college. In high school, I did what any 16-year-old guy would do - buried it. In college, I followed suit. I thought I had to be the rock for everyone around me. Years later, I saw Courtney's post about the class and decided it was time for me to work through it. I had always been a kinetic learner as a child, and thought 'maybe movement will help me figure out my emotions.' It did. The combination of yoga (I'm not flexible), journaling with prompts, and Courtney's unbelievable talent at relating to everyone made this one of the most healing experiences of my life. I put thoughts to paper that I feel only came up from working them out of my body. Emotions and epiphanies flooded into my heart that brought so much peace to something that was tearing me apart inside. I feel that I grew exponentially, not only in my relationship with grief and loss, but also in my general emotional intelligence. For anyone experiencing any kind of loss, I would HIGHLY recommend the class. Commit to it, own your journey, grow through the grief. “
