The Collective & Other Resources
The Good Grief Collective is a place that harnesses the power of community. We understand that grief is not a one size fits all kind of thing... Our grief is our own and how we process, move through and get the support we need is also very personal. This is where a piece of the "collective" comes in... It is our intention to collaborate with local providers on the Eastern Shore and other grief workers online to help spread the word of what kind of self care resources for grief are available to you!

Hey friends, I’m Courtney. I’m truly sorry that circumstances have brought you to this page, but I’m proud of you for showing up. Here’s what I’ve learned about grief – she’s the teacher I never asked for, but now, I’m a lifelong student.

I’m no stranger to loss. My journey with grief started in my teenage years, although I didn’t realize it at the time. Grief taught me lessons I wasn’t ready for. The real crash course began in 2020 when I lost my mom. In the wake of her passing, I faced several other losses, and that’s when I realized I had no idea what to do with myself.

Emotionally, I was drained. I didn’t want to burden others with my feelings. Physically, I struggled with extreme fatigue, brain fog, and a deep sense of emotional disconnection. As I tried to heal, I quickly discovered that the grief support I so desperately needed wasn’t a one-size-fits-all solution – because grief is never one-size-fits-all.

This set me on a soul-searching journey to find ways to heal. Along the way, I found practices that helped piece me back together. It took time, but I eventually realized that I wasn’t just healing – I was evolving. I wasn’t returning to who I was before; I was becoming something new, and that was okay.

I founded the Good Grief Collective because I believe in the power of grieving within a community. There’s something incredibly powerful about witnessing someone’s grief, and allowing them to hold that space for you in return. It’s one of the greatest gifts you can offer another person.
